My Philosophy

My philosophy for wedding photography is simple:

capture the moments.

There are so many moments throughout your day, the ones you share with family, with friends and, of course, with your new husband or wife, but there are so many moments that happen around the day too, and my mission is to capture as many of these moments, and share them with you, as I can.

My Photography

I am based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire in the UK, which is the perfect place to traverse the country for weddings and events. I am also available to travel for destination weddings too! There is no job too big or too small.

I have created several packages for wedding photography to suit every event and budget. These range from the ceremony and newlywed photos, right through to a full-day package including pre-wedding shots all the way up to the first dance/cake cutting. Every package is customisable too, making sure you get just what you want from your wedding photos.

When you confirm your booking, I will arrange a meet with the bride and groom (and any other significant members of the wedding party) to talk about what you want from your photos and your big day. I will also ask you to complete my simple pre-wedding questionnaire to help me with my planning too.

We will also arrange your pre-wedding (or engagement) shoot when you confirm your booking. This is included in all of the packages and is an opportunity to have some shots of the couple before you marry and is a chance for us to get to know each other more and make sure you are comfortable in front of my camera.

Once the wedding is done, you can expect your images, via digital download link, within 6 weeks (often sooner).

My Style

I don’t believe in structured, formal wedding shots. Sure, we all want the family in front of the church or venue after the ceremony, but after that, I don’t want to be the architect of structured, joyless images.

That’s why it’s important to me to get to know you and what you want from your wedding shots as well as blending into the background somewhat, to allow me to capture you and your guests in a much more candid fashion (not an easy task, when you’re 6’4″!)

Following the ceremony, I always prefer to spend some time alone with the newlyweds. This allows us to get those beautiful, photo-book front cover shots that you and I both want… It also gives you time away to enjoy a few moments of each other’s company with the minimum of interruptions.
